The essay below appeared in the Bozeman Chronicle this morning. I really don’t have anything more to add. It’s just another voice joining the chorus of Republicans who are finally speaking up and abandoning ‘the good ship Trump’! Better late than never.
It should be an interesting day with the Supreme Court expected to hand down the decisions regarding Trump’s finances today. If SCOTUS goes against him, it’s going to be one hell of a Tweet storm afterward. And it will just add to the desperation I talked about yesterday. Buckle up!
One more fun fact. I’ve been toying with the idea of getting another motorcycle. I used to have a Honda Goldwing touring bike and I’m getting the itch again. In any case, I understand that the Sturgis motorcycle rally that takes place the first week of August is still planned to go on this year – even in the midst of the pandemic. But, not to worry, they normally only have about 500,000 attendees (a record 740,000 in 2015) who I’m sure will all be wearing masks, social distancing and taking appropriate precautions. And then they will be dispersing back around the country with whatever ‘souvenirs’ they have acquired in South Dakota!! The lunacy is staggering!! And just for the record, if I do get a motorcycle – I won’t be attending! :0)
